Razzashi Hatchling? 1500g?..... ehh no thanks.

Well if you have not heard by now. The Razzashi hatchlings Is coming back!  If you farmed your rear off to grab a couple of these in hopes of making a huge profit. Drop them now!

A new blue post has come out stating that they have found a new spot to insert this pet in the game (source), and already the markets are starting to flood with low priced hatchlings.

This might not be new news to some of you folks out there, but I figured i'd throw out the info so no one makes the mistake of seeing a bunch of hatchlings at low price and blowing 10-20k on them.

  1. I blew 25000g on these over the last couple of weeks only to read of this change late last night - damn you Blizzard!

I'll be holding onto mine for a while in the hope that the new way of getting the pets will be difficult/rare enough that I'll be able to make something off them as opposed to losing lots on them right now.

  2. Yeah Ive got about 7 of them along with some polymorph turtles and black tabbies. Heres to hoping that they are pretty hard to get so people will still pay some decent $$$ for them :)

  3. No word on black tabby yet is there?

  4. "While I'm sorry you're at a financial disadvantage now, I'm hoping you're still be able to enjoy the pet for what it is (re: an adorable, head-bobbing reptilian sidekick) -- or, given that it will still be a rare pet, perhaps even find someone who will adopt it for a reasonable price. Good luck. :) "

Looks like it will still be hard to get.

  5. The hatchlings probably won't bottom out or anything. I would expect them to fetch 500g or so. They will likely be a Rare drop and not easily attainable. I just don't think they are going to be fetching 2000g+ anymore.

  6. Imagine knowing about these two announcements in advance - buying the pets before the first announcement and selling them before today's -- and how much money could have been made. Hindsight is 20/20, again.

  7. Its quite possible for them to be obtained the same way the other non drops are. looted from locations. I can see blizzard being lazy and just putting a rare egg somewhere in the new zg area.

Glad i didnt have too many of these. still pretty annoying week with blizzard changing things I didnt want them to :(

  8. I can't tell you how close I came to spending 8500g on one last night, thinking I could flip it post-Cat for 15k or more. The seller poo-poo'd my offer of 5k, held firm at 8500g and I almost pulled the trigger.

    Who's laughing now Skullfire?

Sorry to those who are out some serious cash, and I hope the rarity pays off.

  9. I think Blizzard should not have stated one minute that they had no plans to bring it back and then turn around and bring it right back. They didn't have to do that and it's just that smug attitude that people are tired of. We aren't all children. We are adults who pay to play and expect to be able to rely on what Blizzard puts out there.

  10. It does seem that Blizzard is getting rid of a lot of High risk/High reward things (other example being the epic gem CD) to make sure that a small amount of players on a given server don't get a ton of gold. And sadly people get screwed out of thousands of gold when it happens.

although, in my experiences with runescape, items that become unobtainable and sought after can reach REDICULOUS prices. There are items called party hats that could be bought for 100k gold when they first came out and are now worth over 500m gold on the game. So I was not at all surprised that Blizzard decided to put the raptor back into the game. It Would have created a crazy train.

  11. I lost some money too, but luckily I was more farming then buying them.
I would suggest everyone who can't make a good deal now to wait some months...

@Acadia: You say they won't probably fetch more than 500g, but there is still a hope: inflation. We still don't know how much prices will grow, so there is a chance that in a year or so the kind of pet that now it's sold for 500g will be sold (and bought) for 2000g.

  12. I meant to post this earlier and thank Acadia for this post.

I was not really in the market for these, but happen to see one on my server for 950G (while the rest were posted at 4k or more. I jumped at the chance to grab one to flip, figuring I would make a huge profit.

Then three days later I see this post, and quickly decided that some profit would be better than no profit and I was able to sell it later that day for 100% profit to someone who is now trying to flip it.

So, thanks again, it reminded me not to spend too much of my gold on speculation purchases.

  13. This market is just to risky for me. I don't play around with investments over 500g, so i'll stay away from these little guys.

    Thanks for the tip.
